Spring Energized PTFE Lip Seals

• Function: Also known as a Teflon spring seal, this is a U-shaped Teflon seal with a special spring inside. The appropriate spring force, combined with system fluid pressure, pushes the sealing lip forward, gently pressing it against the metal surface to produce an excellent seal. The spring's braking effect overcomes slight misalignment of the metal mating surfaces and wear of the sealing lip, maintaining sealing performance.
