O-ring-Damage Analysis

Situation:
The surface of the O-ring is scratched or abnormally worn.

Reason:
1. The groove design of the O-ring is poor.
2. The workpiece hole is rough and uneven.
3. The O-ring is eroded by granular dust or foreign objects during the action.
4. The action speed is too fast.
5. Too much work pressure.

Solution:
1. Re-check the original factory manual and install the appropriate size.
2. Improve the machining precision.
3. Add dustproof facilities outside the machine parts.
4. Apply lubricating oil on the surface during installation.
5. Select O-ring of high pressure resistant material.
